Dr. Todd Yetter
Professor of Biology

 

 

 

Dr. Todd Yetter, a botanist and plant taxonomist, has taught at Cumberland College since 1990. He attended Wright State University, earning a B.S. in Biology in 1982, followed by an M.S. in Biology in 1984. In 1989, he completed a Ph.D. in Botany at Miami University, Ohio, and in 1995, he was awarded the Pew Fellowship in Natural Sciences and Mathematics by the University of Kentucky.

In both 1996 and 1997, Dr. Yetter received grants from the Appalachian College Association in support of his research in the areas of floristics and taxonomy of plants in the mint family. Dr. Yetter has also been recognized as an outstanding and innovative teacher. In 1999, he received a technology grant to develop two interactive websites for courses in plant biology and environmental science, and in 2000, the Student Government Association presented him with the award for Honored Professor.
