Future Business Leaders of America- Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), the national student business association, focuses students on the personal and social skills needed for a career in business and raises their awareness of the civic responsibilities expected of business leaders.

Phi Beta Lambda allows students to enhance communication skills, gain leadership, and become exposed to diverse people with different ideas from around the world. Students involved with the organization will learn tools of the business trade that will last them a lifetime. They will be able to be a part of community service projects that will help fulfill community service hours. PBL also plans to have guest speakers from time to time so that students are able to learn a little more about the business world. PBL’s main goal is to make students’ involvement as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

FBLA-PBL is the premier student business association. Their mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

On December 6, the reorganized Cumberlands chapter elected officers. Kimberly Hamby was elected president; Drew Townsend, vice-president; Stacy Brubaker, secretary; Kirsten Roberson, treasurer; Jonathan Fister, reporter; Kendall Proffitt, Historian and Lauren Davis, reporter.
