Mr. Michael Wright
My name is Michael Wright and I graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2013 with a Double Major in Criminal Justice and Human Services. Throughout my span at Cumberlands, I was provided the opportunity to expand my education and find out what appealed to me. After my freshman year, I determined that a Criminal Justice degree would serve my needs best in my future endeavors.
Choosing to serve and protect is not an easy choice to make, but it was an important one to me. The passion to serve others was mirrored by the Criminal Justice program through their various internship programs and other hosted events. These platforms helped me strengthen my skills and build a strong foundation for future employment opportunities.
After graduation I was afforded several options of employment because of my strong qualifications from classroom and internship experiences. After much deliberation, I took employment with the United States Department of State as Federal Diplomatic Security Officer. It is my job to protect and secure assets, property, and personnel of the State Department at various locations domestic and foreign.
Because of the unique and priceless memories and experiences I received during my undergraduate career, the University of the Cumberlands was my primary choice for my graduate studies. I am on track to graduate with a Masters in Justice Administration with an emphasis in Homeland Security in the Fall of 2014.
I am confident the education I received through the University of the Cumberlands was vital to my success, and will continue to be as my professional career unfolds.
