Ms. Stacy Dennis
My name is Stacy Dennis and I am a 2010 Human Services graduate of University of the Cumberlands. When I enrolled at Cumberlands I wasn’t sure what I wanted to major in or what I wanted to do with my life. As my freshman year came to a close, I still had not declared a major. As I looked over the list of majors several times, it finally hit me. The one thing I knew I enjoyed was being able to serve others. I declared a Human Services Major and never questioned my decision.
After graduating, I had several options available with my degree. I was looking at positions with the health department, a doctor’s office, and several positions within Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center. I accepted a position as a Child and Family Interventionist with CRCCC. I now work with 4-8 year olds at Whitley Central Primary School in Williamsburg, KY as their school-based therapist. I work with the students on their treatment goals helping them continue their progress toward appropriate societal behavior. My education at University of the Cumberlands prepared me well for this position and positions I may have in the future.
