Ms. Jamey Temple
Assistant Professor of English & Journalism

J. Temple

Ms. Jamey Temple joined the Journalism and Public Relations department full time in 2008 after having worked as the University’s Publications Coordinator for four years. Prior to joining the journalism faculty, Ms. Temple was responsible for the design of several University publications including the alumni magazine, Cumberland Today, and the newsletters, Appalachian Voice and Cumberland Connection. She also wrote and designed several other advertisements and publications for University advancement. In addition to teaching various public relations classes, Ms. Temple teaches English courses for the Department of English.

Ms. Temple earned her BS in Communication Arts at University of the Cumberlands in 2003 and her MFA in creative writing at Spalding University in 2007.

Ms. Temple’s advertisements and PR writing have appeared in several publications including Kentucky Monthly, Back Home in Kentucky, collegetoolkit.com, Talbots, and Christianity Today.
