Mr. Gary Owens first taught mathematics as an Adjunct Instructor at Cumberland during the 1970’s. He is once again fulfilling that role.  He received a Bachelors of Science degree from Cumberland College and a Masters of Mathematics degree from the University of Tennessee. Mr. Owens brings with him a wealth of public school teaching experience. He taught at Jellico High School (TN) for 31 years, and he currently teaches during the day at Whitley County High School (KY).

Mr. Owens is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Tennessee Association of Professional Surveyors.
