University of the Cumberlands will be hosting BAND DAY on October 31, 2009.  We are looking for enthusiastic and outstanding high school junior and senior band members to perform with our band during half-time of our home football game vs. Campbellsville University on Saturday, October 31.

At this two-day event, students will have the opportunity to perform with the UC Patriot Marching Band and to socialize with other high school musicians and university band members.  Students attending have two options:  1) they are invited to come on Friday, October 30 to rehearse and spend the night.  2) they can come earlier in the day on Friday and attend classes with our students or take a private lesson with one of our applied faculty and experience what it will be like to a college music student.  Students who have a conflict with a Friday night football game can simply join us on Saturday. Students are asked to wear their high school band uniforms during the half-time performance. Each participating student’s school will be recognized during the half-time performance.
