Dr. Michael Robinson joined the Cumberland College faculty in 1995. In 1980, he earned a B.S. in Education with an emphasis in Social Studies from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI). At the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, he followed the Pastor Track, being awarded an M.Div. in 1986. While serving as a pastor, he returned to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary to complete a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Theology in 1994.
Dr. Robinson is a member of the Baptist Association of Philosophy Teachers, the American Philosophical Association, and the Society of Christian Philosophers. Since coming to Cumberland College, he has continued to publish and to present papers at national conferences. He also has served several years as a faculty advisor with the college’s freshman orientation program INSIGHTS.
