REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN RELIGION --24 semester hours as follows:
Required Courses (9 semester hours):
- RELG 135 Old Testament Survey
- RELG 136 New Testament Survey
- RELG 236 Introduction to Theology
Electives (15 semester hours)
Electives are to be selected from the required courses and elective courses available
in the Religion major. Nine of the elective hours must be from 300 or 400 level courses. In
addition, nine of the elective hours must be from course offerings in the Religion department
(i.e., courses with a "RELG" prefix). Courses should be selected with the assistance of one of the
professors in the Religion and Philosophy Department.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN PHILOSOPHY--21 semester hours as follows:
- PHIL 231 Introduction to Philosophy
- PHIL 332 Critical Thinking
15 semester hours of electives from Philosophy courses and RELG 339, POLS 433, or POLS 434.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A MINOR IN BIBLICAL LANGUAGES-- 28 semester hours
(4 courses
each in both languages). It should be noted that if a student pursues both a Religion major and a
Biblical Languages minor, Biblical Languages courses cannot be counted toward the Religion
major.
