Alpha Beta Zeta, the Cumberland College chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa, was established in 1993. This national honor society for religion promotes the exchange of learning and thought among scholars and encourages excellence in research, teaching, and publication in the field of religion. Each year, Alpha Beta Zeta sponsors numerous events open to the entire college community including Bible studies, fellowship meetings and lectures.
