UC offers thirty $1,000 Community Service Scholarships to students who have shown outstanding service in their community. To receive one of these awards, applicants must be admitted to Cumberland and apply for the scholarship before March 15. Applicants must also submit two letters of verification that document their community service and be currently involved in service to others. The thirty recipients are chosen by the university's Community Service Committee.

In order to have a Community Service Scholarship renewed, the student must maintain a GPA of 2.25 or higher each semester.
