General Music Scholarship Awards are given based on application and audition. These awards vary each year based on the total scholarship amount awarded to the Music Department by Financial Aid. These scholarships are renewable each year if the recipient makes satisfactory progress in the applied area.
The Phyllis Richardson Wood Music Scholarship is given each year to a music major on the sophomore level or above with an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA in the music department of 3.20 who carries a full academic load. The student should be an exceptional performer in his or her applied area as decided by the music faculty. The amount of award is decided by financial aid.
The Gwynn Cornell Helping Hand Music Scholarship is given each year to a music major on the sophomore level or above with an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA in the music department of 3.20 who carries a full academic load. The student must demonstrate a willingness to lend a helping hand in his or her community as decided by the music faculty. The amount of award is decided by financial aid.
