Financial Aid for international students is extremely limited.

There are no scholarships provided while students are enrolled in the Intensive English Program.

Students who are enrolled in the regular undergraduate program are automatically eligible to receive a standard International Student Scholarship in the amount of $9,000 per year. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. At the start of each semester, half of the scholarship amount is applied to the student’s bill.

Students interested in the possibility of athletic scholarships should contact the coach of the sport in which they are interested. This contact information can be found online at: http://www.cumberlandspatriots.com/staff.php

Athletic scholarships are not awarded in addition to the International Student Scholarship, but they are awarded as a substitute for the International Student Scholarship. In some cases, Athletic scholarships may be combined with small merit based scholarships, based on a student athlete’s ACT or SAT test scores. This determination is made by the coach, based on a student’s athletic ability, and the availability of funds within the coach’s scholarship budget.

Students may apply for limited employment opportunities once they arrive on campus. Employment is not guaranteed. If employed, students may be schedule for up to a maximum of 20 hours of work per week. The maximum number of hours available per week are not guaranteed. Work hours are assigned according to the position and availability. Students should not plan for potential on campus employment becoming a significant source of income. Potential employment should not be relied upon as a means of paying overall educational expenses.
