Patriot of the Week

The Patriot Baseball team took on the University of Kentucky Wildcats on Wednesday at UK. The Patriots, only a NAIA and Mid-South Conference school, held off the Wildcats, a NCAA Division I and SEC school, 10-4 until the bottom of the 9th inning. The Patriot baseball team plans to come out this season making some noise, so be sure you watch.

Do you know someone who deserves to become the Cumberland College Athlete of the Week? If so e-mail us and tell us why you think they deserve recognition. But first be sure that:
-They are currently playing an in-season sport
-They have not been named Athlete of the Week during the 04-05 Season

Each week the nominees are dropped into a hat, and the Athlete of the Week is selected from a deserving collection of nominees. The athletes that are not drawn are carried onto next week's selection process.

Anyone can nominate an athlete: a fan, coach, teammate, family member, etc. But you must list why you believe the athlete stands out!
