Beth Wooley is entering her third year as Head Cheerleading Coach. She is also the secretary for the Health, Exercise and Sport Science Department and Art Department as well as the Gallery Director.

Beth contributed greatly to the cheerleading program at the Cumberlands in her four years as a member of the team. She cheered under three coaches starting her freshman year under Nannette Fitzhugh and ending her senior year with Judy Eaton. As a member, the team received two 2nd place honors and two 3rd place honors at the Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championship. Her junior year (March 2005), she competed along side Heather Parks, Crystal Goforth, Tabitha Middleton and Amanda Farris to take
3rd place in the Partner Stunt Championship at the Mid-South Conference. In February of 2006, she traveled with the team to Columbus, OH to compete in the COA (Cheerleaders of America) Open National Championship where they received 1st place.
“I believe the Cumberlands to be a great place for individuals to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically,” said Wooley. “This program has a lot of heart and with the dedication and room to grow the cheerleading team will be a success. We are all looking forward to a MSC win this year!” The advice that she gives to the athletes is “You are first a student then an athlete, do both wholeheartedly”.
Beth is a native of Sebree, Kentucky, where she attended Webster County High School. Upon graduation Beth attended the University of the Cumberlands where she was graduated in 2006 earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Art and a minor in communications. She is now pursuing a Masters degree in Teaching.
