Mr. Chris Kraftick
Head Coach - Men and Women’s Golf

Chris Kraftick is entering his second season as Men's and Women' Golf Head Coach. He hails from Wooster, OH and now resides in London, KY with his wife of seven years, Rebecca and his three children; Lynsey (11), Mason (6), and Emory (2).

 

Kraftick attended Wooster High School where he was a 4 year letterman. During his high school golf career he was recognized as an All Conference player in 1993 and won the team MVP in 1993. He was graduated from Wilmington College in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education where he was named an All Conference player his junior and senior years and received the Team Outstanding Player award.

Kraftick played and excelled in golf at the collegiate level, and has always had an interest in coaching. Kraftick started his coaching career as an assistant at North Laurel High School in London, KY (2004), before taking over the head ranks in 2006-2007. He remained there until his recent acceptance of new head golf coach at Cumberlands.

In 2000 Kraftick became the assistant golf professional at Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Kentucky, before taking over as the Head Golf Pro in 2004. He qualified for the Kentucky Open five times during that span. Also in 2004, Kraftick reached the professional ranks, as he became a member of the PGA 2004.

Coach Kraftick stated, "The most impressive thing about UC is the people and the sense of community. The school is always moving forward. I like how the campus is always evolving and improving. The people are supportive of the athletic programs and coaches are given the resources to be successful".
