University of the Cumberlands Women's Golf Spring 2006 Preview

The Patriot ladies had a tough fall season. They have been depleted by injuries and defections and now feature only two players, Jennifer Keiffer, a junior from Rockford, IL and Katie Bowers, a senior from Cadiz, KY.

Keiffer, who was All-MSC last season, averaged 83.25 and four top six finishes in the fall with a runner-up in the Trevecca Nazarene tournament, her best finish. Her best round of the fall came in the fall Mid-South Conference Tournament when she shot a two over par, 74. Bowers had a pair of top ten finishes in the fall. Shannon Schottlekotte, a sophomore from Greenfield, OH, had rejoined the team, but had off-season shoulder surgery and will be unable to play in the spring.

The women open their schedule at the Lincoln Memorial Tournament and then will host their own tournament at the Tri-County Country Club before traveling to the Centre College Tournament. They will then go to the one day tournaments at Georgetown and Campbellsville. The women's regional will be hosted by Georgetown College at Cherry Blossom Golf Course.

The Patriot ladies look to compete individually on the National level as they journey down the path to a championship.
