The Cumberlands defeated the Trojans 3-1 on October 7th. On October 10th, the Patriots traveled to Charleston, WV to take on the Mid-South Conference Golden Bears of West Virginia Tech. The reunion events will take place on Saturday, October 18th in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Once again the University of the Cumberlands Men's Cross Country Team earned votes, but fell short of grasping a spot in the top 25. The Lady Tigers won the first two sets but the Patriots came back for a third set win. The tournament will take place, October 10-11, 2008, with Shawnee State, Bluefield State College, Urbana University, Asbury College, and the University of the Cumberlands competing. Among the semi-finalists was University of the Cumberlands football student-athlete Josh Frosch of Corbin, KY. The tournament drew the best players and the best teams in the southeast region to see who would advance and compete at the national tournament.
