    <description>The University of the Cumberlands welcomed the Inaugural Border Football Game to their field last January as the Eastern Kentucky All-Star team and the Eastern Tennessee All-Star team went head to head.  With an estimated 5,000 fans on hand, Tennessee took the spotlight, along with the trophy, in the end with a final score of 23-13. </description>

    <title>NAIA Releases 2008 Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll</title>

    <description>The 2008 NAIA Preseason Top 25 Coaches' Poll has been announced and the University of the Cumberlands was voted in as the 22nd best team in the country.  The Patriots are coming off an 8-3 campaign in 2007, which saw them capture the Mid-South Conference title and qualify for the National playoffs for the first time since 1988.</description>

    <title>Patriots Host  Football Team Camps</title>

    <description>During the last week of July and the first week of August, the University of the Cumberlands Football program hosted a football team camp with teams attending from across the state of Tennessee and Kentucky.  The first camp started on Sunday July 27th and ended on Wednesday July 30th.  The next group of campers will arrive on Friday August 1st and will end their summer camp on August 5th.  Coaches from across the Bluegrass and the neighboring Volunteer state come to Cumberlands in an effort to organize practice, teach the fundamentals of football, and instill in players an attitude of teamwork. </description>

    <title>Cumberlands Football Holds #16 in NAIA Spring Coaches Poll</title>

    <description>With spring football out of the way, the NAIA held a coaches poll to place the top 25 teams in the nation for the upcoming season.  Carroll (Mont.) won the title last season and hung on to the #1 spot with 16 first place votes.  The University of the Cumberlands (8-3 last season) finished the season in the #16 spot and stayed put in the polls for the spring season.</description>
