    <description>The University of the Cumberlands' fall golf season is currently winding down their 2008 schedule.  As the Patriot student athletes strive to be their best on the links, Cumberlands Head Golf Coach Chris Kraftick has been promoting the University proudly as well.  At the 2008 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club located in Louisville Kentucky, Coach Chris Kraftick was on the green with the pros.</description>

    <description>The University of the Cumberlands Men's Golf team traveled to Seneca, SC for a two day tournament on September 29th and 30th where they competed against nine other teams. After day one of the Jack Shadwick Invitational hosted by Southern Wesleyan University, Cumberlands was in second place with a score of 302, shortly behind Lindsey Wilson College with a score of 297. </description>

    <title>Patriot Golf Closes in on Top 25</title>

    <description>The second Golf World/NIKE Golf NAIA Coaches' Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  British Columbia remains the number one team in the poll, earning nine of 11 first-place votes.  The University of the Cumberlands golf team has received recognition falling just shy of the Top 25 coming in with 28 votes, tied for 26th place.</description>

    <title>Patriot Golf Team Takes 1st in MSC Fall Tourney - Women Take Third</title>

    <description>With the first tournament complete and another week of practice under their belts, the University of the Cumberlands Patriot golf team stepped out for another two-day competition at the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational, hosted by Lindsey Wilson College.   The men took first, up by 10 strokes, while the women came in 3rd. </description>

    <description>The University of the Cumberlands golf team hosted the Bill Sergent Invitational that concluded Tuesday, September 9th at Crooked Creek in London, KY.  The Patriot women finished the two day event tied for second place with Georgetown College with a team score of 693. Both teams finished only 11 points behind the leader, the Lady Tigers of Campbellsville University with a team score of 684.</description>

In honor of former Patriot golf coach, Bill Sergent, the University of the Cumberlands has voted unanimously to name the annual golf tournament the Bill Sergent Invitational.</description>
