ROAD TRIP!!!
This past weekend my friends, Malcolm Dias and Caleb Ealy, took a little road trip with me to Indiana to watch Andy Mineo in concert. We left campus at about noon on Friday afternoon after our classes were over. We packed our bags in the car and headed out. The only way we knew where we were going was the map app on my iPhone. Well, needless to say, we are very bad at taking directions! We missed four of the exits we were supposed to take and ended up taking some pretty sketchy back roads.
When we got there it was pouring rain, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. Malcolm’s friends were waiting at the door to let us in. We were right on time for the concert. The rapper band before Andy was just getting started. They were good too – they even had a squirt gun and sprayed the crowd with it. Well the time had come for Andy Mineo to come on stage. When he walked through the doors the crowd went wild. It was very loud, but very awesome and when he came on stage there wasn’t one still person in the crowd. Everyone was jumping around and singing the songs – it was just an awesome atmosphere to experience.
Sunday came and it was time to depart from our newfound friends at IWU. We said our goodbyes and got in the car and left. The trip back was fun, but sad because we had to leave our new friends behind. I’m sure we will see them again in the future, though! I’m happy to say that it did not take seven hours to get back and we didn’t miss any exits either! When we got back, we unpacked and I got a text that said to come play Frisbee, so I went and played even though I was tired.
I can’t wait for the next road trip! It was a great time to hang out with friends and do something new.
