Requirements  The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP) is having a Recruitment Fair on September 15, 2010 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The FBP is recruiting for the following positions: Correctional Officer, Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Technologist, *Physician's Assistant (Mid-Level Practitioner), Secretary/Clerical, Drug Treatment Specialist, Teacher, *Chaplain, Information Technology Specialist, *Psychiatrist, *Registered Nurse, Nursing Assistant, *Medical Officer, *Nurse Practitioner, Food Service, Recreation Specialist, Accountant, Facilities/Maintenance, & *Psychologist.
Responsibilities  The Bureau of Prisons offers a full benefit package which includes Health, Dental/Vision and Life Insurance, Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), and TSP (401K). In addition, an employee who has completed 20 years of service in a position covered by law enforcement retirement provisions is eligible to retire at age 50. Employees with 25 years of law enforcement service may retire under FERS at any age. Salaries commensurate with education/experience and may incorporate an additional percentage above the base pay based determined by the location of the position. *In accordance with 5 USC 3307, applicants must not have reached their 37th birthday at the time of their initial appointment.
