Position  Director, Graves Center for Calling and Career

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Education and / or Experience -- Masters Degree in a relevant field or the equivalent in combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired. Minimum of 1-2 years of higher education experience. Experience in advising, counseling, teaching and/or human resources. Strong skills in envisioning, planning, organizing, communicating and leading in addition to interpersonal skills needed for collaborative work with students, staff and faculty. Ability to articulate a personal understanding of vocation and calling. A passion for serving students. • Communication / Language -- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public; ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies, or members of the college and business community. • Mathematical -- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. • Reasoning -- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations -- SHRM Certified Senior Professional (SPHR) preferred. • Computer Literacy / General Office Equipment – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel. Word, Outlook), CARS / Jenzabar System, Internet. Basic office equipment to include facsimile, copier machines, printer.
Responsibilities  Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Greek and Judicial Affairs, the Director of the Graves Center for Calling and Career will provide a full range of programs and services assisting students in career preparation and vocational discernment.
