| Requirements |
The Deputy Center Director position is a developmental assignment in preparation for leadership positions. Frequent travel is required for details and training. In order to address workload needs, the selectees must be willing to accept assignments throughout the Forest Service. The selectee needs to understand that geographic mobility is required. After 24 months in the position, the selectee will be expected to compete for promotions or be available for reassignments. |
| Responsibilities |
This position serves as full-time assistant to the Center Director on a Forest Service Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center with a participant enrollment of approx. 168-300 students. The Deputy serves as the full assistant to the Center Director who is responsible for the development, education, vocational training and potential employability of the students. |
