Dr. Jeff C. Smoak, Jr. began his tenure as Professor of Music at University of the Cumberlands in 1994. Dr. Smoak serves as Kentucky Baptist Church Music Conference Southeast Regional Representative and is Interim Minister of Music at Jellico First Baptist Church.  Most recently, he was selected to be the guest conductor for the SKMA All-Festival High School SSAA Choir for Kentucky District 10. Dr. Smoak was also awarded the UC Excellence in Teaching Award and the Fuqua Teaching Award. Besides listening to music, going to concerts and movies, and exercising at the UC Health and Wellness Center, Dr. Smoak enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter-in-law.
