How to Order Your Textbooks for PACE and Bridge Classes

There are three easy ways to get your textbooks for your PACE and Bridge classes:

• You may come in person and buy them at the bookstore. The bookstore is open Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30, and accepts cash, check, student charging, and all major credit cards. In order to charge to your student account you must know your student ID number.  If you do not know your number you can contact the Bursar or Registrar office to obtain it.

• You may also email your order directly to the bookstore. The bookstore email address is sm039@bncollege.com. In the email you’ll need to include your name, mailing address (must be a physical address, no P.O. boxes, please), the class number (example:  BAOM 334), your phone number, and your form of payment.  If you would like to charge your books to your student account you must also include your ID# in the email. If you are using your credit card, be sure to include the card type, number, and expiration date.

*These books will be shipped to you at a charge of $6.95 for the first item, and $1.95 for each additional item. This is for regular ground shipping. These books should arrive in 2-3 days.

• You can order your textbooks by phone by calling us at 606-539-4354.  To process a phone order, provide your, name, address, phone number, class # (example:  BAOM 334), and form of payment.

* These books will be shipped to you at a charge of $6.95 for the first item, and $1.95 for each additional item. This is for regular ground shipping. These books should arrive in 2-3 days.

Please note that all book orders are filled in the order they are received. Those who order early have the best chance of saving money by getting used books. Also remember that books for classes will not be available for shipment until four weeks before class starts. You can still reserve your copies early, but they will not ship until four weeks before the class starts.  In addition, your credit card will not be charged until shipment occurs.

Downloading Textbook information:

Click on the link for your cohort to view the appropriate textbook list.  You may contact the bookstore up to two months ahead of time to order textbooks for a particular class.  Texts will ordinarily be ready for pickup at or shipment from our bookstore one month prior to the class.

Please take special note of the possibility of your obtaining used textbooks for your classes.  Occasionally, special handouts or testing instruments are required for individual PACE classes that you won’t need to obtain at all.  In these instances, your instructor will provide you with these materials on the appropriate night of class.

All student guides for upcoming PACE and Bridge classes are also posted.  You are able to access and print out these student guides one to two months prior to the beginning of each class.  Both the textbook lists and student guides are posted in pdf format, a popular document format easily readable using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.  If you don’t presently have a copy of Acrobat Reader, you may download a free and fully functional copy of the software at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. 

Ordering textbooks yourself allows you to possibly choose used textbooks, and thus have significant savings.
