Boolean Logic
  • A method of searching for information when combining multiple concepts.  Used primarily in databases and library card catalogs.


  • There are 3 main Boolean Logic operators: AND, OR, and NOT. AND narrows your search, OR broadens your search, and NOT is used to exclude ideas.
