University of the Cumberlands Professor Reads Poetry


Hazard, Ky. - Dr. Tom Frazier, Chairman of the Department and Professor of English at University of the Cumberlands, in Williamsburg, Ky. was one of seven poets invited to present their works at Hazard Community College’s Evening With the Poets on April 28, 2011.

Frazier is a native of Evarts, Kentucky and holds degrees in English from Cumberland College, Eastern Kentucky University and Middle Tennessee State University. His poetry, fiction and essays have appeared in numerous journals, magazines, newspapers, and reference works.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; nine graduate degrees, including two doctorates, a specialist, and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
