UC to Hold Fall Semester Blood Drive


Williamsburg, Ky. – The University of the Cumberlands (UC) will be having their fall semester blood drive to help support the Kentucky Blood Center on Wednesday September 28th. The event will start at 9:30 a.m. in the mid-level of the Boswell Campus Center (BCC) and will last until 3:00 p.m.

The Kentucky Blood Center serves 67 hospitals in the state of Kentucky by helping to ensure there is an adequate, safe and consistent supply of blood for patients.

Anyone wishing to donate will be given a mini-physical that includes having their temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and iron levels checked to get clearance. Each donor will also receive a thank you gift in recognition of their life saving support.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
