Author's Row will be held at Cumberlands Homecoming Carnival

Williamsburg, Ky. – On Saturday, October 29, University of the Cumberlands (UC) will be hosting their annual Homecoming Carnival from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Briar Creek Park as part of Homecoming “Thriller” Weekend. During the Carnival 18 authors will be present as part of the “Author’s Row.”

Author’s Row is an illustrious group of UC graduates and faculty who have written books along with authors from the local community. The books they will have on display are for sale and all authors will be available to sign autographs. In addition to the authors that will be on hand, books by the late Dr. Chester Young, UC faculty member, will also be on display and available for purchase.

Some of the featured authors for this year’s event are Nancy Allen (’70), Pearl and Carlos Anderson, Regina Bargo, Jennifer Barry (’71), Michael Capek (’69), Michael Colegrove (’71), Marian Collette, Tom Frazier (’69), Gina Jones, Melissa Newman, Jolly Sharp (’74), Jan Sparkman, Wayne Taylor, Bob Terrell, Barry Vann, Rayford Watts (’63), Lois Wortman and Layla Wright.

This event is free to the public and everyone from the community is encouraged to come out to experience some the top published authors in the area.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees; more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
