UC's HSB Welcomes Clay Co. High School Students to Campus

Williamsburg, Ky. – On Wednesday, November 9th, University of the Cumberlands (UC) Hutton School of Business (HSB) welcomed Clay County High School to campus.

The group came to campus to learn more about UC and get a better understanding of the Business Department. Students were taken on campus tours, sat in on business classes, and received pertinent information on UC during an informational session with Dr. Margaret Combs, Chair HSB.

“We believe that many of these Clay County High School students will be the future business leaders of Kentucky,” exclaimed Dr. Combs. “The faculty and students of the Hutton School of Business are pleased to share what the University of the Cumberlands has to offer them as they begin the process of selecting a university.”

The idea behind the campus visit was to provide students with an interactive experience at the university to enable a successful transition from high school to the college level. The Clay Co. students will be looking at their different choices on where to attend college and this helps to show them what UC has to offer.

“The transition begins with thinking about, where do I want to attend college," said Dr. Combs.

Hutton School of Business offers majors and minors in business administration, accounting or management information systems. In any of these fields, you will find a healthy and challenging learning environment to develop your unique interests and talents and prepare you for a position of leadership in the 21st century global market place.
