Cumberlands CAB hosts musician Austin Renfroe

Williamsburg, Ky. — On Tuesday, March 20, the University of the Cumberlands (UC) Campus Activities Board (CAB) welcomed Coffee House performer Austin Renfroe to campus. The Nashville resident is a singer/songwriter who recently auditioned for the popular reality show “The Voice.”

Close to 70 students crowded into the Boswell Campus Center (BCC) as Renfroe performed a number of songs, including “Honesty” and “Break Your Heart,” both from his latest album.

The relaxed concert was a hit with students, and the up-and-coming artist impressed everyone.

“He was amazing,” said Lisa Bartram, CAB director, as freshman Wesley Hale (Amelia, Ohio) added, “I had been excited for about two months for him to come here.”

Students were given the opportunity to take to the stage to perform a song or dance of their choice while others enjoyed coffee and doughnuts. The event was a great opportunity for students to take a break from the normal college life and hang out with their friends.

The next CAB event, Cumberland Idol, will be in UC’s Gatliff Chapel on Tuesday, March 27 at 8:00 pm.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
