Cumberlands Honors Faculty and Staff for Years of Service


Dr. Jim Taylor congratulates and thanks Dr. Eric Wake for his 45 years of service to University of the Cumberlands.

Williamsburg, Ky. - On Thursday, April 19th, University of the Cumberlands (UC) held its 20th annual Faculty-Staff Dinner to honor 19 individuals for years of faithful service to the University.

Dr. Eric Wake, History and Political Science, was honored for 45 years of service to the University.

Three employees received recognition for 35 years of service: Ms. Linda Carter, Student Services; Ms. Donna Perkins, Chemistry/Math; and Mr. Terry Stigall, Health, Movement, and Leisure Studies.

Mr. Wesley Perkins, Administrative Computer Center, was recognized for 30 years of service.

Receiving recognition for 25 years was: Ms. Pearl Baker, Human Resources; Ms. Lenora Bunch, Pegasus Program; Dr. James Manning, Mathematics and Physics; Ms. Avis Fay Partin, History/QEP; Dr. Al Pilant, History and Political Science; and Ms. Lois Taylor, Student Services.

For 20 years of service Dr. Rick Fleenor, Church Relations/International Programs/Convocation, was honored.

Those recognized for 15 years of service were: Ms. Theresa Dickman, English; Dr. Sharlene Dzugan, Chemistry; Ms. Melissa Irvin, Women’s Basketball; Dr. Dennis Trickett, Psychology; and Mr. James Corcoran, Music.

Two individuals were recognized for 10 years of service: Ms. Jane Broadwell, Business Services; and Mr. Josh Meadors, Library Media Services.
