Megan Swope Receives Excellence in Middle School Education Award

 


Williamsburg, Ky. – On Monday, April 23rd, University of the Cumberlands (UC) student Megan Swope (Fairfield, OH) received the Excellence in Middle School Education Award during the annual Honors Day Convocation held in the O. Wayne Rollins Center.

While at UC, Megan has participated in cross country and track and field. She has attained Mid-South Conference (MSC) Academic All-Conference three times during her career. She has also been awarded the MSC’s Champions of Character award.

Megan, the daughter of Brad Swope and Kim DeLaney, will be graduated with a certification in Middle School Mathematics and Social Studies. She plans to go back to Northern Kentucky to search for a job teaching middle school math.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
