UC Jazz Ensemble to Hold Concert

Williamsburg, Ky. - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Jazz Ensemble will present their first concert of the year on Tuesday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Nell Moore Recital Hall inside the McGraw Music Building.

This concert will feature some of Cumberlands very best musicians in a program that will offer music in a variety of styles. The music for this concert will include not only some of the most exciting jazz being written today, but also music from various styles including rock, blues, funk, and Latin American music.

The UC Jazz Ensemble is a source of pride for the university, presenting several concerts on the UC campus each year in addition to tours to various schools and festivals throughout the region.

This concert will meet the requirement of one convocation credit in the academic and cultural events category.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; twelve graduate degrees, including two doctorate, two specialist and eight master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
