Students Awarded H.N. and Frances Berger Foundation Endowed Scholarships

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Amanda Foutch, of Butler, Ky., and Lisa West, of Barbourville, Ky., were awarded H.N. and Frances Berger Foundation Endowed Scholarships during University of the Cumberlands’ Honors Day service held April 24.

Foutch is a junior majoring in biology and history and plans to become a dentist. West, a sophomore majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry, plans to attend graduate school.

The H. N. & Frances Berger Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund was established at University of the Cumberlands (formerly Cumberland College) in 1983 by Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Berger to recognize exceptionally bright young people who have demonstrated high academic ability.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 117th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
