Short presents senior art exhibit at Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Ky. — University of the Cumberlands (UC) senior Reagan Short presented her senior art exhibit at UC’s J.M. Boswell Art Gallery during the week of April 15-20. A reception for the senior was hosted by the UC art department on Friday, April 19.

Short practice of art is a lifestyle: “My life has consisted of ways to channel a certain unnamable energy into something tangible that I can grasp on to,” she said. “I have found this in drawing and painting.”

The art education major will be student teaching next semester, and from there, she said with a smile, “teaching and making art.” She is the daughter of Jack and Lora Short from Beattyville, Ky.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; twelve graduate degrees, including two doctorate, two specialist and eight master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
