Allyson Blessman receives the Political Science Award


Williamsburg, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands (UC) presented Allyson Blessman (Walsenburg, CO) with the Political Science Award during the 54th annual Honors Day Program on Sunday, April 21st.

She was also named to the University’s High Honor Roll. Students recognized for this honor must attain a minimum of 3.85 cumulative grade point average standing.

Allyson is graduating with a double major in Political Science and History with a 4.0 GPA.

While at Cumberland, Allyson has been involved in women’s wrestling and could always be counted on to participate in class discussions. She attended the National Phi Alpha Theta Conference in Orlando, Florida in 2012 and is currently serving as vice president of the Phi Alpha Theta Chapter.

Her plans after graduation are to find a job a job in her related field of study.
