UC student receives Knights Templar scholarship


Williamsburg, KY.,- On August 28, University of the Cumberlands’ (UC) student, Katelyn Walden was awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship by the Williamsburg Grand Commandery of Kentucky Knights Templar and Williamsburg Lodge 490. The award was presented to Walden by Captain General, T.J. Hamblin.

“I am very thankful for this scholarship,” said recipient, Katelyn Walden.

Katelyn is a junior at UC and an elementary education major. She is from Williamsburg and attended Whitley County High School. Her father, James Walden, is a member of the Kentucky Knights Templar. The Williamsburg Commandery plans to award a scholarship annually to a UC student.
