Dr. Robinson speaks at second Phi Alpha Theta lecture |
||
Theological determinism is the belief that God has pre-ordained all events in the world. John Calvin is often credited for originating this belief; and it is popularly known as Calvinism, but, as Robinson told his audience, Calvin actually got his ideas from Augustine. Robinson is an associate professor of philosophy and religion at University of the Cumberlands. He earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, and his graduate degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. He is a member of the Baptist Association of Philosophy Teachers, the American Philosophical Association and the Society of Christian Philosophers.
