Soprano Laura Chipe in recital on February 20th

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands presents soprano Laura Hammack Chipe in recital at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20.

Marking 40 years of singing as a semiprofessional performer, Chipe uses music to reflect her spiritual journey throughout her career. From Handel's "How Beautiful Are the Feet of Them," to Twila Paris' "How Beautiful," she shares her testimony of influences from her initial training at Georgetown, work in ministry, call to seminary and service in education. Chipe incorporates her daughters' artistry as well to help tell her story and is accompanied by UC pianist Kay Dawn McFarland.

The recital hall is located in the Grace Crum Rollins Fine Arts Center on the UC campus. Admission is free. For more information, contact the UC Music Department at 539-4332.
