Peek Receives Outstanding Biology Student Award

 


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Shane Russell Peek, of Kings Mountain, was honored as the 2007 recipient of the Outstanding Biology student award during the Honor’s Day service held at University of the Cumberlands on April 23. The biology department gives the award annually to students who have shown exceptional academic achievement, contribution to the biology department and potential for future contribution to society.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 118th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, graduate degrees and certifications in education as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
