Keith Linton exhibition to open October 1 at Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands’ art department will host a showcase of Louisville artist Keith Linton’s artwork. The show will run from Oct. 1-31 and will be held in the J. M. Boswell Art Gallery, Room 220 in the Fred C. Andersen Memorial Building. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

“My work begins with contemporary, industrial products, such as foams, plastics, and other synthetics,” states Linton. “In their raw, original state, these appear cold and manufactured. My attempt is to enlighten and give character to these materials through multiple processes giving them a sense of history.”

Linton received his Bachelor of Arts from University of Louisville and his Master of Fine Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. His works have appeared in galleries across the country, and in 2006 he won third place in the Longview Museum of Fine Arts 44th Annual Artist Invitational.
