David Threlkeld to perform Tuesday at Cumberlands


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands’ Associate Professor of Music Mr. David Threlkeld is to perform his faculty recital at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 25 in the Nell Moore Recital Hall. Threlkeld is the director of the UC Jazz Ensemble and is also the woodwind specialist.

In addition to teaching, Mr. Threlkeld remains active as a performer in various genres including classical, jazz, blues and pop music. He is a founding member of the band Jobe, from Knoxville, Tenn., and has performed as a guest soloist on both clarinet and saxophone with various ensembles throughout the region. He has also appeared with such notable artists as Lou Rawls, Shirley Jones, The Temptations and the Four Tops.
