UC Concert Band to perform on campus

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The University of the Cumberlands Concert Band will perform on January 31, featuring a wide range of musical works, including classical pieces and selections from the Disney film “Mary Poppins.”

The Concert Band, directed by Dr. Sean Greene, will be joined by James West, an associate professor of trumpet at Louisiana State University. West is Principal Trumpet with the Baton Rouge Symphony, and was the conference chairperson for the 1991 meeting of the International Trumpet Guild, which was held at LSU.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Nell Moore Recital Hall, in the Grace Crum Rollins Fine Arts Center on campus, and admission is free. For more information, contact the UC Music Department at (606) 539-4332.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 119th year of operation.
