UC to Present First Chorale Concert of the Year

Williamsburg, Ky.-University of the Cumberlands presents its first Chorale Concert of the academic year at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17, in the Nell Moore Recital Hall of the Grace Crum Rollins Fine Arts Center on campus.

The concert will include a selection of sacred music from across the years, with an emphasis on modern American composers of music for the church. Nashville's Mark Hayes, who has helped to launch many Christian music careers through his work with Benson Company, will be a featured composer. The evening will also incorporate arrangements of familiar hymns and audience participation.

Dr. David Etter, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies and Church Music, observes, "We've always had good students, but this year we have some of the best. They are an energetic, attentive, and talented group."
