Peters Receives Emma McPherson English Award at UC


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- Christopher Peters, of London, Ky., is the 2008 recipient of the Emma McPherson English Award. The English department at University of the Cumberlands annually gives this award to a graduating senior who has shown exceptional academic achievement and service to the department. Dr. Thomas Frazier, English department chair, presented the award to Peters during the Honors Day service held at University of the Cumberlands on April 21.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 119th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
