Dr. Charles Foster Johnson featured speaker at Franklin P. Owen Conference


Dr. Charles Foster Johnson is the featured speaker of the Franklin P. Owen Conference on Missions and the Church.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Dr. Charles Foster Johnson will be the featured speaker this year at the annual Franklin P. Owen Conference on Missions and the Church, an annual conference presented by the Religion and Philosophy Department of University of the Cumberlands. The conference will be held Monday, October 6th and Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the Gatliff Chapel at 10 A.M., and Johnson will be speaking on Strengthening Christian Community.

Johnson is a graduate of Mississippi College and received his Master’s in Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in churches in Texas and Tennessee, and he is the founding member of the Texas Faith Network. Recently, he has completed a two-year post as Visiting Instructor in Preaching at McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University, and he continues to serve on the Baptist World Alliance General Council.
