Cumberlands ROTC honors victims of September 11th |

Williamsburg, Ky.- On Thursday, Sept. 11, approximately 100 students, faculty and staff members and community residents observed as the ROTC unit of University of the Cumberlands' conducted a flag retreat ceremony and memorial service to honor the lives lost during the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. The service was held at Cumberlands' Patriot Park, in the midst of 3000 flags placed upon the lawn of Hutton School of Business, where a steel beam from one of the World Trade Center towers and a replica of the Liberty Bell stand as reminders of America's love of freedom and independence. |
