Cumberlands initiates 38 students into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society |

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – At a recent banquet, 38 students were initiated into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society at University of the Cumberlands. Founded in the spring of 1924 at the University of Illinois by Dean Maria Leonard, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first year students. Membership in Alpha Lambda Delta is open to full-time freshman students who earn a scholastic average of 3.5 or better at a four-year college or university. Out of state: Fairfield, Ohio: Taryn Elizabeth Johnson
For the 2009-2010 school year, the Alpha Lambda Delta Chapter elected James Jacob Brock as president, Jerrid Neeley as vice president and Stephanie Lawless as secretary. Ms. Linda Carter serves as administrative advisor and Mrs. Kathy Fish as faculty advisor. |
