Dr. Cindi Norton, professor and chair of the Health, Exercise and Sport Science Department, presents the ESS Award to Matt Henson.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — Matt Henson received the Exercise and Sport Science Award, given by the Health, Exercise and Sport Science Department, during the 50th annual Honors Day convocation at University of the Cumberlands.

The son of Mike & Terri Henson of Christian County, Henson is an Exercise and Sport Science major with minors in public health & business, and he graduated cum laude with a 3.7 GPA. He is a Hutton Scholar, served as a resident assistant and campus ambassador. He has worked with Mountain Outreach for the past 3 years.

Henson has been accepted into the Master of Sports Administration program at Belmont University.
